TEDxBerkeley Overflow Viewing at Hub Berkeley

TEDxBerkeley is very sold out (they've turned away 500 people this week!).  Good news: it is being webcast.  Even better news: we have space (across the street from Cal where it's happening), a projector, and internet to host a viewing.  Guess you can call us, the "overflow" :)

Don't just watch it from home.  Bring a friend, pack a lunch, and watch it with fellow members and friends of the Hub

Speakers include people like Ross Evans of Xtracycle, Fred Dust of IDEO, and local magician favorite Robert Strong.  The full lineup: http://tedxberkeley.org/speakers

**** The David Brower Center is not open to the public on Saturday + we have limited space.  RSVP is needed. Thank you! ****

We look forward to seeing you Saturday!

What’s TEDxBerkeley?

On April 3, 2010, TEDxBerkeley is gathering world-leading thinkers, makers, and doers at UC Berkeley to discuss doing the unprecedented. The audience is composed of a diverse yet curated mix of 700 students, professors, and thought leaders from Berkeley and beyond for a stimulating day of presentations, discussions, entertainment and art that will spark new ideas and opportunities for all.

About TEDx (x=independently organized event)
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*

About TED
TED is an annual event where some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. “TED” stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design – three broad subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future. And in fact, the event is broader still, showcasing ideas that matter in any discipline. Attendees have called it “the ultimate brain spa” and “a four-day journey into the future.” The diverse audience – CEOs, scientists, creatives, philanthropists – is almost as extraordinary as the speakers, who have included Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Frank Gehry, Paul Simon, Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck and Bono.
